i have just now discovered the new addition of the addtional images and preview to the forum postings. what a great perk, time, and space saver for all the collectors. now i can add multiple image of my stamps when on the philatelic forums. and i will be using this feature quite a bit.
a big KUDOS to sebastien and his team for this accomplishment in the new software upgrades.

merci et amities,

Now as this feature is introduced to the whole site, not only to the forum, I should mention that I was quite disappointed. Earlier it was possible - when using "Sell a similar object" option - to keep the previous image, and that was very convenient. Now with the new image uploading system it is not possible anymore, and it would take much more time and effort to put on sale objects that would use the same image. I hope there is a way to correct this asap.

I am very disappointed as this new system is compressing the scanned images so much that they are distorted. This will not help us sell. Please bring back the old system.

The answer seems to be NOT to compress your own scans, then the Delcampe decompression program converts ok. but would still prefer the old system.. (Too old for change perhaps but expect I will get used to it.)

Hello,
It is indeed a bug and we are presently working on it.

Hello,
Images are not distorted more than previously. The software remained exactly the same for this.

We apologize for convenience.
Best regards, Sebastien Delcampe
Hello again,
This problem is now partially avoided. "Similar item" function uses the old page again. We are working now to upgrade the new page for this function too.
Merci Sebastian,

bonjour sheila,
i see you have found your magnifying glass. i am happy this function is working for you now. however, it might help to make your orignial scans at a larger %, then submit them. i scan my images at 200%, the maximum for my scanner, and usually 100 DPI. when tranferred to delcampe, the images look very good when enlarged.
amities,
cajunsr.
'ready to eat? hope there is some catfish on the menu.' yummmmmmmm

Good Evening Cajunsr,
You will have to get a new scanner, mine does up to 1200 and it was only a cheap Canon.

Catfish: you call that a fish take a look below
bonsoir cher sheia,
ah, you found my two cousins with that minnow they caught. yes, we ate him in a day with all the relatives, about 200 at the fish fry. it was very tasty with hushpuppies, shrimps, and crawfish. as for scanners i have a old cannon N650U, a great little workhorse. wish i had another one. damn near indestructable.
